Baptism

///IMPORTANT INFORMATION/// 

Baptism Sunday is almost here!  Congratulations on your decision to be baptized at Inspire Church.
 
NOTE: If you, or the candidate(s) you are responsible for, are feeling ill or experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19, we ask that you remain at home and we will gladly re-schedule your baptism. Baptisms may be scheduled for any Sunday after each of our services.

Getting prepared

  • Prepare your heart, be excited, and come with expectation!
  • Choose and wear your baptism attire Sunday. Suggested attire includes:

T-shirt (not white; darker colors work best)
Bottom (not white; darker colors work best) – long shorts, lightweight jogging or exercise pants, leggings, or long skirt. Denim is not recommended.
Undergarments or swimwear underneath

  • Also bring:

Large bath towel

Change of clothing and undergarments

Regular shoes
Flip-flops or swim shoes (recommended)
Swim cap, if desired
Plastic shopping bag or small trash bag for wet items (please check for holes)
 
 
Please remove jewelry and watches until after baptism to avoid loose objects in the baptismal pool.
 

Arriving at Inspire

  • All candidates should come dressed in baptism attire as suggested above
  • Candidates should plan to arrive 15-30 minutes prior to service time
  • Baptism candidates will proceed to the Chapel for check-in. From the main entrance, the Chapel is located to the right, past the Psalm 91 Café.  You will see it on the right as you walk down the hall.
  • After check-in, candidates will be directed to the designated area in the Worship Center for candidates and parents of candidates under age 18
  • Family members attending or visiting with candidates should proceed to the Worship Center, where baptisms may be viewed on the screens during the service

During the service

  • Baptisms are scheduled to begin after praise and worship and will take place throughout the service. At the appropriate time, all candidates will be directed to proceed to the Chapel for baptism.
  • Only parents of candidates under age 18 may proceed to the Chapel with baptism candidates
  • Candidates will proceed to dressing areas immediately after being baptized
  • After getting dressed, candidates may quietly return to the designated area in the Worship Center for the remainder of service

After the service

  • Rejoice with family and friends. Share your testimony.
  • Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit
  • Continue to grow by attending Discipleship classes or joining a Life group
