Verse
2 Corinthians 12:8-10 “Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
Prayer
Lord, we all have things we have pleaded with You to take from us. Yet, in Your goodness and faithfulness to us, You have given us what is best for us. Help us to rest in that truth, Lord. Your grace is sufficient. When I am weak, Your strength can shine through. Lord, if I was strong on my own others would not be able to see You more clearly…so we thank You for what makes us weak and we ask for the grace to endure. Your grace really is enough, Father. Remind us, again and again and again…that all is grace.
