Greetings,
Religion teaches you to feel shame because of our imperfections. Quite the opposite, the world says we can do whatever we want. But what does God’s Word tell us?
Romans 8:1 (NKJV) – “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
What a different message than the teaching of religion or that of the world. Scripture assures us that if we live according to the Spirit and the principles of God’s Word, we will not walk according to the flesh. Therefore we need not be concerned about condemnation.
It also teaches that if our lives are in Christ, we can be free from shame. Yes, we may experience guilt when we’ve done wrong, but that can easily be removed if we’ll turn to the Father—not away from Him. Instead of condemning us, God loves and accepts us.
God, I thank You today for setting me free from condemnation and removing the shame I once carried. I am free because of Your great love for me—and I thank You. You have lifted the burden of my failures and delivered me. I am grateful.
