Greetings,
We can expect to be tested. It usually happens just before God advances us to the next level.
Zechariah 13:9 (NKJV) – “I will bring the one-third through the fire, Will refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is My people’; And each one will say, ‘The LORD is my God.'”
To be promoted, you must first prove that you’re ready for a higher level. When we are given tests in school, they are not meant to hold us back. If we’re promoted to a new level without first being tested, inevitably we’ll experience setbacks and delays later in life.
Lord, refine us—but never discard or give up on us. If you’ll purify and teach us Your ways, we will become more like You. That’s what I seek from You. Let me be someone after Your own heart.
