Greetings,
It’s so unfortunate that most of us have been taught to do our personal business first—and then God’s work … if we can find the time.
Luke 2:49 (NKJV) – “And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
If Jesus put His Father’s business first, so should we. That was His calling and assignment. But for many years, He worked on a job to support His ministry.
That’s how we should also look at life. To discover your special assignment, you may have to change your thinking about life, and even your job. Since you have a destiny, God has a special calling for you to fulfill. Like Jesus, that’s why you were born!
Your job isn’t your ultimate calling. It’s only a way to support whatever your calling may be. Your assignment is to do the Father’s business. Only then will you find fulfillment.
Father, help me find the reason You created me. Since you have a purpose and a plan for my life, help me discover what it is so I can use my employment to provide the funds that I’ll need to fulfill my destiny and bring You glory!
Today, I’m going way back to the Mississippi Children’s Choir and “His Eye Is on the Sparrow.”
We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
