Greetings,
Did you know that God sometimes rejects our worship? Ask Cain. I cannot think of anything that I would pray to God for Him to please never allow to happen to me than for Him to reject my worship.
Jesus spoke about this to and said to leave our gifts on the altar and fix the things we must before the sacrifice of our worship will be accepted. Listen to Peter:
1 Peter 2:5 (NKJV) “you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices ACCEPTABLE to God through Jesus Christ.”
Acceptable! Why would our worship not be accepted? It’s because we have allowed our hearts to become crusted over, our attitudes to grow critical and our spirits to become bitter and contaminated. Our sacrifice can be rejected because our actions and our thoughts offend the Holy Spirit within us.
Today Father, make my heart pure that I can offer worship that is acceptable to You. I want You to rejoice in my sacrifice of praise and to receive my worship when I offer it to You. You deserve my best.
