It seems that misery really does love company! Why do I say that? Because bad news gets everyone’s attention. It sells. The networks would be in trouble if it didn’t. Suppose they had to stop publishing all the bad news for seven days? We would probably be a lot better off!
There is actually a book that is filled with news that is incredibly good. That’s its central message. It’s called the Bible. Strange, how people have the Word of God pictured the opposite way! It isn’t meant to cramp your style. Rather it is intended to give you life.
A man asked Jesus what he could do to have eternal life. Jesus answered in Matthew 19:16b (NKJV) “….if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
Heavenly Father, Your commandments give me life because Your Word is all about LIFE! May we learn to trust in Your direction, for You are a GOOD GOD! I am blessed because I know that Your Word actually sets me free. It contains the principles for how I may live a life without shame or regret. That’s while I am in this world, but then it also instructs me how I can become Yours forever and be with You in the world to come. Thank You for the really GOOD NEWS!
