Devotional: Day 2034

Greetings,

Today, I’m worshiping with Sipho Ngwenya and “Ebenezer.”

I love this song and the beautiful harmonies, for which Gospel music in South Africa is noted. Let me explain the words used in this song. They come from the Bible.

1 Samuel 7:12 (NKJV) – “Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the LORD has helped us.”

The translation is: “Ebenezer, you have been with us thus far. We thank you, you have been with us thus far.”

Question: do you have any Ebenezer memorials in your life that remind you of a time when God helped you? I do! If you’ll think about it, I’m sure you have them, too! I trust this song will be a blessing to you.

Father thank you for the many times You have helped me. My life is marked by a number of my own personal Ebenezer’s. Every one of us has been blessed. It’s not because of us, it’s all because of You! I give you praise!

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
