Devotional: Day 2076

Greetings,

Has God ever done the impossible, and surprised you with an unexpected blessing in an unusual way or place? What about through someone you weren’t expecting Him to use?

Isaiah 41:17-18 (NKJV) – “The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. [18] I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water.”

In this text, God was referring to the arid desert wilderness Israel passed through on their way to the Promise Land. But He promised to turn it into a pool of water and the dry land into springs of flowing water. That’s something you would never expect to see in this desert region, but God did it! He always keeps His Word.

Father, I thank You for unexpected favor and for blessings in unusual places and circumstances. Thank You for things that I never dreamed would ever come my way that are going to appear because of Your goodness to me. You are such a GOOD GOD!

Today, I’m worshiping with Christ Fellowship and “You Are Here.”
