Greetings,
Have you ever tried to do something that was actually easy, but someone kept getting in your way and slowing you down by trying to tell you how to do it? I wonder how often we get in God’s way by repeatedly telling Him how we think He should handle things? We give Him our opinions rather than submitting to His wisdom and counsel.
So God patiently stands back and waits until we grow tired of trying to tell Him to do it our way. Perhaps that’s why He spoke these words to Jehoshaphat.
2 Chronicles 20:17 (NKJV) – “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, STAND STILL and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.”
Father, help me to confidently stand still as I put my trust in You. Not only do You know what needs to be done, but You know far better than anyone else how to do it. Thank You for loving me so much, You delight in fixing things for me! Thank You for guiding my steps and choosing my path for me.
