When you look at the complicated situations that surround us, it can be difficult to believe that the problems we face will ever work out. Challenges come in many forms: a bad report from the doctor, or an announcement from your employer that people are going to be furloughed. When the way forward seems impossible, the enemy will tell you that it’s all over! He wants you to panic and be afraid because he thrives in an atmosphere of fear.
Believing isn’t always easy. At times you must contend for the faith— you must fight for it. Faith in God has the power to change things!
Jude 1:3 (NKJV) – “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.”
Lord, help us to contend for our faith. I want to keep on believing You and Your promises, even when the way forward seems impossible. I want to believe everything Your Word says about You. You are not less than the Bible declares. Rather You are even more wonderful than words can express!
As the song goes, You are really more wonderful than my mind can conceive, You are more wonderful than my heart can believe. You truly exceed my highest hopes and fondest dreams. There is no one else like You. I give You my praise.
