Greetings,
It might seem like a strange commandment but God has instructed us to love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. That might seem like an unusual thing for God to insist on us doing, but it means that we can actually “set” our hearts to love God. However, Christ took the greatest commandment a step further by commanding us to ‘love one another.’
John 13:34 (NKJV) – “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”
As true believers, we shouldn’t ever be indifferent or apathetic toward others. That’s true regardless of who they are, what they believe, their financial status, their education, or politics. Christians must grow beyond the petty differences that divide us and love others as Jesus loved us. And remember this: He loved us while we were still sinners!
Heavenly Father, teach me to love others the way that You love me. Would You place the same kind of love in my heart that You have for all mankind? Help me learn to love the way You love!
Today, I’m worshiping with Bebe Winans and “I Fell in Love with God.”
We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
