Devotional: Day 2139

Greetings,

Thank God for His amazing grace! I mean “real” grace and not merely the words of a song. Scripture tells us that we were saved by grace through faith and it was a gift from our God!

Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV) – “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”

What is grace? It is the unmerited favor of God. That means, you will never be good enough to merit grace, never pray long enough to gain it, never work hard enough to earn it, and never beg God enough to receive it. It is His free gift to us.

Grace also means that God loves you, just as you are. It doesn’t mean that He doesn’t care about our actions. He does. Rather than giving you a license to sin, grace frees you from sin by letting you know that you have been accepted by God as His child.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for paying the penalty for my sin so that I could be accepted by God. While it cost me nothing, it cost You everything! I am so grateful! Your sacrifice on the cross was accepted on behalf of my need. I praise and love You!

Today, I’m worshiping with Hillsong United and “Good Grace.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
