Greetings,
For some, this may come as a shock, but we are not our own! Recognizing this matters too.
1 Corinthians 6:20 (NKJV) – “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
Why do we belong to God? Because Christ came to earth to redeem us from the curse of sin with the greatest price that could ever be paid: His own blood!
Before Christ died for us, we were enslaved by sin. Now that He has purchased and redeemed us, God gently reminds us how foolish it would be to become slaves to sin once again. So, because we belong to Him, let’s serve Him fully!
Thank You, Lord, for setting us free! While we were slaves to sin with no hope of ever being delivered, and we certainly could not save ourselves, it’s amazing that to think You came to earth to redeem us. You are such a mighty God!
