Devotional: Day 2173

Greetings,

As parents, we would be deeply concerned if our children or grandchildren never learned, grew taller, gained weight, or became stronger. The same is true with our Heavenly Father. He is concerned when a believer fails to grow in the grace of our Lord or the knowledge of scripture. That is the equivalent of a child of God remaining an infant believer the rest of their lives!

2 Peter 3:18 (NKJV) – “but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”

So, how do we grow spiritually? By receiving proper nutrition. We must be fed spiritually, the same as we are fed physically.

You simply cannot get too much of the Word of God or spend too much time in prayer or worshiping our Lord. These are the things that help us grow in the grace and knowledge of our Savior.

Father, I hunger for Your Word and Your Presence. Help me to grow in grace and in the knowledge of who You are. The more I learn of You, the more amazed I become. I love You, Lord!

Today, I’m worshiping with Tasha Cobbs Leonard and “Sense It.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
