Greetings,
Living in a broken world that’s filled with so much injustice can harden us. It’s so easy to be wounded and betrayed, even by those we love, and then throw up walls around our hearts. Of course, those who hurt us are also victims of this broken, sin-scarred world. But listen to what God said:
Ezekiel 11:19-20 (NKJV) – “Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, [20] that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.”
God has promised to replace our heart of stone with a heart that’s tender toward Him and others. One of His greatest acts of grace is to make us ‘care’ again.
Father, soften our hearts. Help us to care about Your feelings and the many times we have sinned against You and those we love. We ask You to give us a heart that is tender and innocent, and to put a new spirit within us so we can truly be ‘Your’ people. Help us to give and receive love with open hearts.
Today, I’m worshiping with Micah Stampley and “Another Place.”
We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
Pastor
