Devotional: Day 2224

Greetings,

When Adam and Eve sinned, they hid themselves from the Lord. Mankind has been doing the same thing ever since. We try to hide our weaknesses and failures from one another, and from God.

Every believer’s goal should be to do just the opposite. Our Heavenly Father wants us to be open and transparent with Him. It is to our own detriment when we try to hide our wrongs. After all, God sees it all anyway—and still loves us!

Proverbs 28:13 (NKJV) – “He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”

When we confess and forsake our sins and imperfections, God covers us with His mercy and grace. But if we try to hide our sins, we can’t prosper.

Father, I come to You openly admitting my imperfections and failures. Forgive me when I have sinned and keep me covered by the precious blood of the Lamb. Help me to become more like You. Thank You for loving me the way You do, and with a love that is accepting and eternal.

Today, I’m worshiping with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and “That’s Why, God.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
