Devotional: Day 2247

Greetings,

Three things will determine where you’ll be five years from now: the books you read, the friends you keep, and the thoughts you think. The first two will determine the last one—the thoughts you think:

Proverbs 13:20 (NKJV) – “He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.”

Since close friends tend to strongly influence our lives, we must be very careful who we choose as our friends. Most people want friends who will agree with their ideas and thoughts. They believe that anyone who challenges their way of thinking is against them. But those with a different perspective, and who in love disagree with us, may actually be better friends than those who agree with everything we say or do.

Let’s choose our friends carefully. They are actually casting a vote on whether or not we will succeed in life!

Father God, surround me with people who will prove to be a right connection. Let them become divine relationships who will never steer me in the wrong direction. And let me be a wonderful friend to them, as well. Let me be the kind of friend that You have been to me.

Today, I’m worshiping with Tasha Cobb Leonard and Paul Morton and “Show Us You.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
