Devotional: Day 2270

Greetings,

We must teach our children about God. While we may outsource other parts of their education to public or Christian schools to teach subjects such as math, English, and science, God requires us as parents to be personally involved in the spiritual education of our kids. Our goal should be to help our children be even more passionate about God than we are, not less.

Psalm 78:5-7 (NKJV) – “For He established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children; [6] That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children, [7] That they may set their hope in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments.”

The Bible speaks of a time in the last days when the world will no longer embrace truth. Could the failure to daily teach God’s Word in our homes to our own families be the very thing that is allowing our world to drift beyond recovery? Think about it.

Father, help me to instill the values that are taught in Your Word to my children and those I love. I want to teach them how to love You and love Your Word with all their hearts! Help me to also set the kind of example with my life that they will want to follow. We want to be a family that serves You.

Today, I’m worshiping with Leon Timbo and “Get the Glory.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
