Greetings,
Our faith is founded upon absolute truth—not fables or myths. The things we have been taught from God’s Word are certain and sure.
Luke 1:3-4 (NKJV) – “it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus, [4] that you may know the CERTAINTY of those things in which you were instructed.”
People sometimes ask whether we can believe the Bible. Is it possible that it was translated incorrectly? Or could it just be a collection of tales given to us by ancient fishermen from the dusty past, as some have declared?
Here are the facts: over 5,000 ancient copies of the Bible written in Greek still remain—plus 8,000 copies in Latin, and 1,000 in other languages. As further proof of its reliability, tens of thousands of citations from the scripture are still available from the writings of early church fathers in the centuries immediately following the death and resurrection of our Lord, where they quote the Bible.
If we compare other written documents from long ago with the Bible, only 2,000 copies of Homer still exist, 7 copies from Plato, 49 from Aristotle, 10 from Caesar, and 20 from Tacitus. What is stunning and shows incredible prejudice against the Word of God, is that all of these secular writings are accepted as totally accurate. The question we should ask with so many more manuscripts of the original texts of the Bible remaining than those of historical figures from the past, is why doesn’t everyone accept the Bible? I think you already know the answer!
Father, we thank You for the certainty of Your Word that is forever settled in the heavens! I’m glad that I can rely upon the truthfulness and certainty of Your promises. If You said it, I believe it, for You cannot lie. Your Word is forever settled in the heavens. We stand on a firm foundation, and I am grateful.
Today, I’m worshiping with All Nations and “Yahweh.”
We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
