Devotional: Day 2285

Greetings,

In the Book of Revelation, we are told that the church at Ephesus had lost their passion for Christ.

Revelation 2:4 (NKJV) – “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.”

Sadly, the Ephesians had allowed their love for Christ to wane. This can happen to anyone who fails to maintain their personal altar of devotion to God, or to keep the fires burning brightly. May our hearts blaze so intensely for God, that the flame will never flicker or be extinguished.

Lord, just as You instructed the Old Testament priests to never allow the fire on the altar to go out, I pray that the fire of my love for You will always burn brightly. Fan those flames today, Lord. I want to want You more. I desire to love You with greater passion and fervency of heart, soul and mind. You are my first love.

Today I’m worshiping with Capitol City Music and “Sweetest Name.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
