Devotional: Day 2286

Greetings,

It’s important that we discern which things in life are truly valuable.

Matthew 26:6-9 (NKJV) – “And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, [7] a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table. [8] But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste? [9] For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor.”

The disciples grumbled because they only considered the worth of Mary’s perfume, instead of the greater worth of the One she was anointing.

How many of us fail to recognize the value of what is right before our eyes! Have we underestimated the worth of our spouse, our children, our health, or our friends? What about the value of having freedom to worship, attend church, and so much more? What of the value of our relationship with God?

Lord, You are worth more than anything else in my life by far. May I never fail to realize how precious You are. You are the fairest of ten thousand to my soul! You are the Lily of the Valley and the Rose of Sharon. There isn’t another like You. My praise is Yours.

Today, I’m worshiping with Paul McClure and “To Sing His Praise Again.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
