Greetings,
In times of trouble and disaster, where do you go? Why not follow the example of the psalmist David in Psalm 57:1 (NKJV) – “Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, Until these calamities have passed by.”
Calamities will not continue to kill, steal, and destroy. They will pass. But until they do, God’s Presence becomes our weapon! Satan cannot remain in the Presence of God. It is like kryptonite to Superman. The key to employing this incredible weapon is worship. So, go beyond thanking Him to praise; then beyond praise into worship. When you do, the enemy has to leave. He cannot stay.
But God’s Presence is more than a weapon. It is also our defense. When we’re covered with His Presence, the enemy cannot find us. In Colossians 3:3, Paul said that our lives are ‘hidden’ with Christ in God.
So, how long can we stay hidden? The psalmist said that he would stay in the secret place UNTIL calamityhad passed by. Things will not remain as they are now. Coronavirus, too, must pass. Until then, Father, help us remain in Your secret place.
