Devotional: Day 2327

Greetings,

As parents, we would be very concerned if our children or grandchildren never grew taller, gained weight, or became stronger. The same is true with our Heavenly Father. He is concerned when a believer fails to grow in the grace of our Lord or the knowledge of scripture. That would be equivalent to a child of God remaining a spiritual infant the rest of their lives!

2 Peter 3:18 (NKJV) – “but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”

So, how do we grow spiritually? By receiving proper nutrition from the Word of God. We must be fed spiritually, the same as we are fed physically.

You simply cannot get too much of the Word of God, spend too much time in prayer or time worshiping our Lord. These are the things that help us grow in the grace and knowledge of our Savior.

Father, I hunger for Your Word and Your Presence. Help me to grow in grace and in the knowledge of who You are. I love You, Lord!

Today, I am worshiping with Tasha Cobbs Leonard and “Sense It.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
