Devotional: Day 2332

Greetings,

No matter how serious your problem may be, it should never keep you from worshiping. Ezekiel is a good example for us to follow:

Ezekiel 1:1 (NKJV) – “Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the River Chebar, that the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.”

As punishment for their wickedness and idolatry, Israel was carried into captivity. Ezekiel was among the Israeli captives who were forcibly removed from Judah to Babylon. Yet, in a strange land, under the worst possible circumstances, he was “in the Spirit” and saw visions of God.

This also happened to the Apostle John on the isle of Patmos. While working in the salt mines as a prisoner of Rome, he explains in Revelation, chapter 1, what happened on the Lord’s Day. He was “in the Spirit” and saw visions from God!

My Father, help me to learn from these two great men of God. If they could continue worshiping while living in such difficult circumstances, I know that nothing should prevent me from worshiping either. I want to praise You continually and with all of my heart!

Today, I am worshiping with Todd Delaney and “Pulling Me Through.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
