Greetings,
If you allow your eyes and thoughts to be drawn away from God to what those who do not know Him are doing, you can be deceived.
Psalm 73:2-3 (NKJV) – “But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; My steps had nearly slipped. [3] For I was envious of the boastful, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.”
The writer of this psalm had become so envious of the prosperity of the wicked, he almost fell. Thankfully, he kept holding on to God. But as he continued to observe, he realized there was no reason to be jealous of those who do not know our Father. While attending church one day, God showed him the destiny of the ungodly:
Psalm 73:17 (NKJV) – “Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then I understood their end.”
Father, help me to always keep my eyes fixed on You and never to envy those who are boastful and proud. Thank You for keeping me from falling into that trap of the enemy!
Today, I’m worshiping with Steffany Gretzinger and Jeremy Riddle and “All Is For Your Glory.”
We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
