Greetings,
One of Jesus’ apostles has been called “Doubting Thomas.” Do you know why?
John 20:24-25 (NKJV) – “Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. [25] The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
All that Thomas did was miss one church service. And wouldn’t you know, that’s when Jesus showed up! Thomas thought the other disciples were joking when they told him what had happened. You never know what you’ll miss when you’re not in church!
Thomas told the other disciples, “I’ll have to see proof before I believe!” A few days later when he was with the other disciples, Jesus appeared. Thomas was now convinced that Christ had risen, but the name “Doubting Thomas” stuck.
Lord, I want to be a believer. I don’t want to demand proof that I belong to You. Help me believe, even when I cannot visibly see You working in my favor.
Today, I’m worshiping with Steffany Gretzinger and “Endless Alleluia.”
We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
