Devotional: Day 2356

Greetings,

During times of great stress and difficulty, it seems so hard not to complain.  But thankfulness can quickly turn a hardship into a blessing. Notice what happened when Israel complained:

Numbers 11:1 (NKJV) – “Now when the people complained, it displeased the LORD; for the LORD heard it, and His anger was aroused.”

God wanted His people to trust Him and be thankful for leading them, instead of complaining about what surrounded them. As believers, we are told to give thanks in all things. Why should we do that? It’s not because we’re always happy about our circumstances. No one enjoys sickness or pain, losing their job, or financial hardships. But we can thank Him because we know that God will bring us through it!

If Israel had understood this concept, they would have looked beyond their present situation and thanked God for WHERE He was taking them. I declare today that you are moving somewhere. We are moving toward greater peace, health, prosperity, favor, and blessings!

Lord, give me the grace to look beyond the challenges that arise to see that in every one of them, You have been there to guide and protect me. Not once have You ever failed me. So today, I thank You for being so good!

Today, I’m worshiping with Todd Galberth and “You Remain.”
