Devotional: Day 2389

Greetings,

Years ago, I learned that in both the Japanese and Chinese languages, the characters for writing the word ‘crisis’ mean both ‘danger’ and ‘opportunity.’ It is written by placing the characters for danger and opportunity beside each other.

A crisis will always present a choice. Which word do you choose to describe the outcome when you are in a dilemma? Do you panic and feel despair? Are you overwhelmed with a sense of dread, or do you say this is another opportunity for God to be God? Notice these verses:

Isaiah 60:1-2 (NKJV) – “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. [2] For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; BUT the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.”

We’re now living in a time of great darkness. Evil prevails and confusion reigns. Satan is behind the turmoil but I believe it is proving to be one of the devil’s worst strategic mistakes. The darkness of our time has created desperate emptiness. God is causing a great revival in the church, and incredible numbers of people are turning to God. When darkness surrounds us, the Light always shines the brightest.

Father, revive Your people!  Forgive us for our lack of total devotion to You. Restore our souls. Send a harvest of salvation such as we have never seen before! Help us and let Your light shine through us, that others may see You.

Today, I’m worshiping with Bethel and “Let Heaven Come.”
