Devotional: Day 2400

Greetings,

Have the odds ever seemed to be stacked against you? Does it seem at times, that life has become impossible? While David was being pursued by Saul and his mighty army, he never forgot who his Protector was.

When the Ziphites betrayed David by reporting his hiding place, King Saul feverishly sought to kill David. There seemed to be no way for David would survive—but he did!  Notice what David wrote:

Psalm 54:4 (NKJV) – “Behold, God is my helper.”

Since God cannot fail—and He’s on your side— when we trust in Him, we won’t fail either. With God’s help, David not only survived Saul, he was able to thrive while enduring extreme pressure from his adversaries. He just kept drawing closer to God … and so can you! In fact he wrote many of our favorite psalms during this season.

People may betray you, talk about you, and try to hold you back, but we read in Romans 8:37 (NKJV) – “Yet in all these things we are MORE than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

When you’re in Christ, adversity cannot stop you unless you let it. It will only promote you!

Lord, I thank You for being my helper! Even though I can do very little about many of the things that I face in life, having You beside me as the Lord of Angel Armies, guarantees the outcome. That means I can praise You in advance. The battle is Yours, but the victory is mine.

Today, I’m worshiping with Marvin Sapp and “Never Would Have Made It.”
