Greetings,
Have you ever tried to do something really easy but someone would keep getting in your way? They would actually slow you down by trying to tell you how to do the task at hand.
I wonder how often we do the same thing with God and get in His way by telling Him what we think He should do? So God stands back and waits patiently until we grow tired of telling Him to do it our way. Perhaps that’s why He spoke these words to Jehoshaphat.
2 Chronicles 20:17 (NKJV) – “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, STAND STILL and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.”
Father, help me to confidently “stand still” as I put my trust in You. Not only do You know what needs to be done, but You know far better than anyone else how to do it. Thank You for loving me so much, You delight in fixing things for me! Thank You for guiding my steps and choosing my path for me.
