Devotional: Day 246

Greetings,

We all know the feeling of being abandoned by so-called friends in times of adversity. They seem to avoid you when they’re needed most, but are always present when things are going well. Yet, there is a Friend who will never leave you during those difficult seasons of life. He will stay close even during our most difficult challenges.

Psalm 31:7 (NKJV) – “I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, For You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities.”

The psalmist rejoiced because God knew him even in adversities. The opposition he was referring to was when people lied, cheated, and tried to destroy him, for no reason.

Thank You, Lord, for staying with me, not only in the good times, but when things aren’t going so well. I praise You for being so faithful!

Today, I’m worshiping with Bebe and Marvin Winans and “Stand.”
