Devotional: Day 26

Greetings,

Today is Good Friday, the day our Savior was crucified for our sins. Why is it called “Good” Friday? It certainly didn’t seem to be good for Jesus! No, what happened 2,000 years ago on this very day was for OUR good!

As we prepare for Easter, we are overwhelmed by whatChrist actually did for us. Divinity had been wrapped in humanity; He who was sinless took our sin; the One who is worthy of all praise was cursed and reviled; He who is eternal experienced the pain of death. When we could not ascend to Him, He came down to us. While we could never purchase our freedom, God did with the blood of His own Son.

What is so amazing is that He didn’t have to do it …but He did! Though it cost Him everything, it was so good for us, it will forever be called Good Friday!

Today, I’m worshiping with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and “Revelation 19:1.” https://youtu.be/7m_C6c6SFi0

Remember to stay inside as much as possible, wash your hands often with soap, don’t touch your face, and practice social-distancing.

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
