Devotional: Day 298

Greetings,

God came and found us. Rather than sending an angel or a seraphim, He came and sought us Himself. Then He delivered us from our sinful ways. He didn’t delegate the task of saving us to an underling or assistant:

Ezekiel 34:11-12 (NKJV) – “For thus says the Lord GOD: “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. [12] As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.”

What does that say about the goodness of our Lord and His love for us? It is mind- boggling to even consider that the Mighty God of heaven and earth would care so passionately for people that He could and seek us Himself!

Thank You, God! What an incredible Savior You are! I could never adequately express my gratitude for all You have done for me.

Today, I’m worshiping with William Murphy and “The Sacrifice of Praise.”
