Greetings,
Is your fervor for God affected by whether those around you are passionately serving Him? Or is your commitment so unshakeable, even if others do not continue steadfastly in their pursuit of God, you will still be true to Him?
Hosea 11:12 (NKJV) – “Ephraim has encircled Me with lies, And the house of Israel with deceit; But Judah still walks with God, Even with the Holy One who is faithful.”
Even though Ephraim and Israel both faltered in their commitment to God, Judah remained unshaken in their commitment to the Lord. Some people are like a thermometer; they merely reflect the temperature around them, while others are like a thermostat that elevates the temperature to where it should be.
Lord, let my commitment to You always be unshakable and resolute, regardless of what others might say or do. May my heart always be filled with a desire for more of You and Your Word.
