Greetings,
Just how important is the Word of God in our daily lives?
John 17:17 (NKJV) – “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”
We are sanctified by the Truth, which is the Word of God. Without His Word, our lives will become bogged down by the filthiness of this world and the contamination of sin.
This is why the psalmist declared that he had hidden the Word of God in his heart that he might not sin against Him. Remember that the word “sin” is an archer’s term that means: to miss the target. That target is the destiny God created especially for you. By daily studying God’s Word, we can stay on track to fulfill our God-ordained purpose.
Father, I thank You for the Bible. I need Your Word to guide and sanctify me every day. Help me to always treasure Your Word and study it continually.
