Devotional: Day 331

Greetings,

As parents, we would be so concerned if our children or grandchildren never grew taller, gained weight, or became stronger. The same is true with our Heavenly Father. He is concerned when a believer fails to grow in the grace of our Lord or the knowledge of scripture. That would be equivalent to a child of God remaining an infant believer the rest of their lives!

2 Peter 3:18 (NKJV) – “but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”

So, how do we grow spiritually? By receiving proper nutrition. We must be fed   spiritually, just as we are physically.

You simply cannot get too much of the Word of God or spend too much time praying or worshiping our Lord. These are the things that help you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Savior.

Father, I hunger for Your Word and Your Presence. Help me to grow in grace and in the knowledge of who You are. I love You, Lord!

Today, I’m worshiping with Tasha Cobbs Leonard and “Sense It.”
