Devotional: Day 337

Greetings,

No matter how serious your problem may be, it should never keep you from worshiping. Ezekiel is a good example for us to follow:

Ezekiel 1:1 (NKJV) – “Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the River Chebar, that the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.”

Ezekiel was among the Israeli captives who were forcibly removed from Judah to Babylon as punishment for their wickedness and idolatry. Yet, in a strange land, under the worst possible circumstances, he was “in the Spirit” and saw visions of God.

That’s also what happened to Apostle John on the isle of Patmos. While working in the salt mines as a prisoner of Rome, he explains in Revelation, chapter 1, what happened on the Lord’s Day. He was “in the Spirit” and saw visions from God!

Father God, let me learn from these two great men of God. If they were able to worship under such difficult circumstances, I know that nothing can prevent me from worshiping.  So, I want to praise You with all of my heart!

Today, I’m worshiping with Todd Delaney and “Pulling Me Through.”
