Greetings,
What causes heaven to become what we think of as “heaven?” Is it because there are no hospitals or diseases in heaven? Is it because there are no screaming sirens and no crime? …no divorce and no death? Or could it be WHO is in heaven? Is it because His abiding Presence fills that wonderful place with joy and peace?
Revelation 4:2 (NKJV) – “Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.”
Wherever God’s Presence dwells, the terrible results of sin simply cannot remain. Remember how demonic spirits had to flee, the sick were healed, and death was vanquished when Jesus showed up? Sin’s awful effects cannot co-exist with Him.
Father, cover us with Your Spirit today. Place Your hand upon us and allow us to abide in Your Presence. Let us experience the joy of knowing You and the shield of Your Presence. We love You, Lord!
