Greetings,
Have you found that from time to time, you must remind yourself of how AWESOME our God truly is? If we focus on our problems rather than the “Problem-Solver,” we can forget how great He really is. Still, He eagerly waits for every opportunity to show us how incredible He is!
That’s what happened to Simon Peter. He did something no one in the history of mankind has ever done: he actually walked on water. And I don’t mean frozen water! Peter was walking from one storm-tossed whitecap to the next.
But as soon as he took his eyes off Jesus and began to look at the violent forces of nature, his mind began to question what was happening. That’s when he started to sink. And that’s what happens when we look at circumstances, rather than our God.
Father, help us to always acknowledge how AWESOME and FANTASTIC You are—not the severity of the situation.
