Greetings,
For God to ‘command’ us to love Him would seem a bit strange, wouldn’t it! But Christ takes it a step further by commanding us to ‘love one another.’
John 13:34 (NKJV) – “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”
As true believers, we are not permitted to be indifferent or apathetic toward other people, regardless of who they are, what they believe, their financial status, or their ethnicity. Christians must grow beyond those petty differences and love others as Jesus loved us. And remember: He loved us while we were still sinners!
Father, would You place the same kind of love in my heart that You have for all mankind? Help me learn to love the way You love!
