Greetings,
God’s Word will correct us … IF … (and that’s a big IF) … we allow it to happen. His Word was not intended to merely pat us on the back and tell us how well we’re doing. He wants to help us mend our ways and adjust our behavior. When that happens, we will experience even greater favor and blessings from above.
Unfortunately, some people do not want to be corrected:
Zephaniah 3:2 (NKJV) – “She has not obeyed His voice, She has not received correction; She has not trusted in the LORD, She has not drawn near to her God.”
Some people refuse to draw near to God, but they won’t wander too far away. They want to stay close enough to receive His blessings, but not so close that they can’t do as they please. They know that moving too close will require some adjustments in their lifestyle.
Father, draw us close to You. Help us make whatever changes are needed so that we can stay close to Your side. We need You, Lord!
