Devotional: Day 65

Greetings,

Have you ever considered what could have been the best accomplishment of your life? Was it your education or a successful career? Getting married? Raising your children? Building a business?
I don’t have to think twice to know the answer for me. The decision I made all those years ago to marry a very special woman is right at the top of my list. That was one of the best moves I’ve ever made! But there’s something else for which I am even more grateful. That’s when I fell in love with Jesus! What’s so amazing is that He sought me until I said “yes.”

In spite of my failures, He never stopped wooing me; He just never gave up on me. At first, I tried to earn His love, but that didn’t work. Then I tried to be good enough to merit His favor, but that didn’t succeed either. It’s when I accepted the fact that He loved me enough to give His life for me that I really fell in love with Him. That was the best thing I’ve ever done!

Today, I’m worshiping with Jonathan Butler and “Falling in Love with Jesus.”
