Greetings,
Have these many new distresses robbed your peace of mind? Have events caused you to become worried or fearful? You know, worry kills. And scripture tells us that fear has torment.
In the pandemic, depression took its toll. Doctors were concerned about the spike in drug abuse; the dramatic increase in suicides, the serious problem of domestic violence, and the increase of divorces. Many people still struggle to cope. How can you keep your family from becoming one of these statistics? This is the answer:
Psalm 42:5 (AMPC) – “Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, my Help and my God.”
To quiet a raging storm of emotions, talk to yourself! Yes, that’s right. As the psalmist suggested, talk to yourself. Tell your mind to do these three things: (1) hope in God. Man may disappoint you, but God never will; (2) wait on God. His timing is impeccable. He always come through, right on time; (3) worship God. He is definitely worthy of our worship!
Lord, I want my inner conversation to always be filled with faith and guided by the wonder of who You are, not by adverse situations or circumstances. May I always glorify You in my heart.
Today, I’m worshiping with Elevation and “Graves into Gardens.”
We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
Pastor
