Devotional: Day 763

Greetings,

Today is EASTER SUNDAY! The tomb is empty! CHRIST HAS RISEN! Satan is defeated–and so is everything he planned against you and your family!

Paul wrote in Colossians 2:15 (NKJV) – “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He (Jesus) made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”

The word ‘triumph’ refers to an ancient Roman custom. Upon returning to Rome after a successful war, the victorious army would march down the central avenue of this great city, leading the defeated army, stripped and in chains. All of Rome lined the streets to celebrate the victory won by their brave soldiers and to jeer at their defeated foes. They called this a “triumph.” Paul tells us that Christ has openly triumphed over the enemy!

Though millenniums of darkness had passed, as the sun rose on Easter morning, Satan had been defeated. Sin’s dark night of oppression had ended. Rejoice, beloved! Jesus is ALIVE!!

The grave could not hold You! The tomb is empty because You rose again to give me new life. You conquered death, hell and the grave for me. I praise You for being Lord of all, and for being my best friend.

Today, I’m worshiping with Phillips, Craig & Dean and “There’s a Little Bit of Morning Outside.”

And be sure to watch the Inspire streaming services.

We love you and are praying for you. Christ is RISEN, so be INSPIRED!
