Greetings,
Concerning Israel, God said in Hosea 10:2 (NKJV) – “Their heart is divided; Now they are held guilty. He will break down their altars.“
Many believers in our day have divided loyalties. They love God, but they also love the things of this world. 1 John 2:15 (NKJV) warns, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
Does that mean we should not enjoy the things life has to offer? NO! Paul tells us in 1 Timothy 6:17, “God gives us all things richly to enjoy.” He wants us to enjoy His blessings; but our greatest love should be reserved for Him.
What is the opposite of a divided heart? It’s a steadfast heart that loves God and is committed to Him. Psalm 57:7 (NKJV) – “My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise.” I pray that our hearts will be wholly devoted to Him.
Of Lord, make my heart steadfast for You. I want to love You more every day. Let my devotion to You grow stronger, and the tug of this fallen world grow weaker. Make my heart Your’s alone. I love You, Lord!
Today, I’m worshiping with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and “Total Praise.”
We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
