Devotional: Day 787

Greetings,

We all have burdens that we must bear. Not even the righteous are exempt. That’s because the world we live in has been terribly damaged. Sadly, many believers think that once they give their hearts to God and begin serving Christ, they will no longer have to deal with their problems. Don’t we wish that was true!

But the truth is, this earth is not heaven. We live in a broken world that has been crushed beneath the boot heel of sin. We have been redeemed—but the world has not yet been restored from the catastrophic effects of sin.  When Christ returns, that will all be changed. But until then, believers must deal with sickness, pain, death, economic woes, and challenges in their relationships.

What must we do as we wait for His return? In Psalm 55:22 (NKJV), David said, “Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.”

God will sustain and strengthen you, if you will take your problems to Him in prayer. He is such a GOOD GOD!

Lord, today I turn to You. Please carry my heavy load and allow me to carry Your yoke, because it is easy. You are my strength when life becomes difficult. Not once have You ever let me down. I praise You for who You are.

Today, I’m worshiping with Jenn Johnson and “Goodness of God.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
