Greetings,
Fasting and prayer works! God pleaded with Israel to seek Him with prayer and fasting so that their nation could be spared from the problems they were facing. Fasting and prayer gives us the power to avert tragedies. He wants to act on our behalf with supernatural assistance!
Joel 2:15-17 (NKJV) – “Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; [16] Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room. [17] Let the priests, who minister to the LORD, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O LORD, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?'”
Father, I’m glad that we can seek You with fasting and prayer, asking that You would act on behalf of Your people. We ask You to drive back the enemy and heal our land and our world. Restore what has been lost; act in such a way that people will recognize what You are doing in our world!
