Greetings,
Zechariah 1:3 (NKJV) – “Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the LORD of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the LORD of hosts.”
Israel was in big trouble! They had turned away from God and their glorious future and had been reduced to slavery under the Babylonians and the Medo-Persians.
As the philosopher Santayana stated, “Those who forget their history are condemned to repeat it.” Everyone talks about the history of our nation and their personal history, but what about our human history?
How many times must the catastrophic effects of turning away from God be repeated? And even worse, how many times must we experience it individually? It’s time to return to God as individuals, then as a nation, and finally, our world. , The very act of returning to Him will restore His favor upon us.
Father, help us turn to You, today! Please forgive and heal us of the terrible conditions we have brought upon ourselves by thinking we could be blessed or become prosperous without You.
Today, I’m worshiping with Jeremy Riddle and “I Want to Know You.”
We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
