Greetings,
Have you ever tried to do something that was very easy to do, but someone keeps getting in your way by trying to tell you what to do? I wonder how often we get in God’s way by repeatedly telling Him how we think it should be done?
So, God patiently waits until we grow tired of trying to fix things ourselves. He stands back and does nothing until we’re ready to let Him be God!
Perhaps that’s why He spoke these words to King Jehoshaphat:
2 Chronicles 20:17 (NKJV) – “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, STAND STILL and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.”
Father, help me to quietly stand still as I put my trust in You. Not only do You know what needs to be done, but You know better than anyone else how to do it. Thank You for loving me so much, You delight in fixing things for me!
